Sleek, dining experience awaits in Northwoods

TRAVELING DELTA DINER - A 1940 Silk City Stainless steel diner which began life in upstate New York passed through Ashland Wednesday on its way to the site of the former Delta Store in Bayfield County. There it will be reincarnated as the Delta Diner. Serving as a community gathering place for the Delta Lakes community, the Diner, which will be operated by Todd Bucher of Delta, is slated to begin operations this fall, featuring hot and cold sandwiches, plate lunches, homemade desserts, ice cream malts and sodas as well as many ethnic entrees.
